We have watched the increasing tensions in the past weeks, but it is not possible to be prepared for what happened in the last days in Ukraine.

PHA Europe stands in solidarity with those who are affected by the military invasion.
The vulnerability of rare disease patients, especially of pulmonary hypertension patients, is high and continued medication needs to be ensured.

We work closely together with our two Ukrainian member associations: we already provided unrestricted funds to them, shared depo addresses within our community which accept humanitarian aid, participated in fundraising activities, passed on information about patient numbers and data on medication to facilitate humanitarian aid and we are in close contact with our Ukrainian members to better understand the most urgent difficulties and provide assistance whenever needed.

We will make all the steps to provide assistance in these challenging situations in the future as well

International collaboration is needed in these unprecedented times: we call upon the European Union, the United Nations, WHO and humanitarian organisations to help PH patients in Ukraine.
