The European Society for Clinical Nutrition & Metabolism is closely monitoring the evolving situation around the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and the worldwide impact of this pandemic. As such, ESPEN, the Congress organisers and the 2020 Local Organising Committee will continue to monitor the developing situation and commits to providing regular updates to our community.

At this time, the ESPEN 2020 Congress is moving forward for 19-22 September in Lyon, France, and full implementation plans continue to proceed as planned.

This said, ESPEN are aware that all Healthcare Professionals (HCP) are especially affected by this pandemic and that many people may have to deal with different professional and possibly personal priorities. We understand that more time to submit relevant and important research may be needed. In order to provide this additional time, ESPEN will extend the abstract submission deadline (originally planned for 15th April) to 6th May, 2020. The Late-Breaking abstract submission dates will remain unchanged. Please visit the submissions page for full information.
