Dora Erdelyi
Vice President

I am an active member of Tüdőér Egylet, the Hungarian PH Association. I have a degree in accounting. In most of my career I was an auditor working for big accounting firms and internal auditor for multinational companies.

I was diagnosed in 2009 with pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) and joined Tüdőér Egylet, the Hungarian PH association. In 2016, I underwent a successful double lung transplant and after that my quality of life was much much better. I was able to return to my auditor career. After a few years I began to experience symptoms of PH again. I was told that PH never returns after transplant but it was confirmed in 2022 that my pressure is abnormal again. It was very hard to accept it, but I will keep on fighting.

I had to give up full-time work. Currently, I am working part-time in the Hungarian PH association. I am responsible for international relations but I am also involved in organisation of awareness raising programs. And many times I represent the association at conferences, workshops and interviews.

I held presentations multiple times in the National Patient Meetings and I translated several information materials for Hungarian PH patients. I was part of the EUDONORGAN program and was a speaker in the awareness raising events in Budapest and Brussels. I am a volunteer for the Hungarian Transplant Patient associations. I also completed the Hungarian Patient Association Academy organised by AIPM.

I am helping PHA Europe in the preparation of the Mariposa magazine. I am honoured to be the vice president of PHA Europe and work for a better future for the patients.
